I'm William S Burroughs now or something

by IsaChandra

I had some wisdom teeth pulled today so I'm sitting here high on painkillers remembering when Saturday Night Live was funny and thinking I should update the website. Everything seems up in the air, episode 4 is ALMOST done, episode 5 is ALMOST filmed, I still don't have the dvds which stinks because people SHOULD have been able to give them as holiday presents but I guess the punk rock lifestyle does not afford us such luxuries as getting things done on time.

I've been working tirelessly on recipes for the cookbook, I need 150 by April 15th. And they all have to be awesome. I'm so excited about being a published author, it still seems like I'm living someone else's life. Psychologists call it “Imposter Syndrome.”  Which reminds me, I saw this documentary on maybe the Science channel about “Body Integrity Identity Disorder” which makes people believe that they are not complete until they lose a limb. Usually the left leg, above the knee. So I'll settle for “Imposter Syndrome” is what I'm saying.

I'm going to Minneapolis in February, yes tropical Minnesota, who doesn't want to be there in the dead of winter? I'll be cooking a Valentine's brunch at Hard Times Cafe. Is anyone from there? If so, please come! And I'll be hosting a dinner in Brooklyn at Vox Pop cafe in January sometime. It's a great little cafe/bookstore in Flatbush. I'm not sure of the menu yet, I'm thinking seitan steaks with pumpkin mole and parsnip pancakes and chocolate raspberry ganache cake for dessert. Also, I did an interview for Satya magazine. It was a really awesome interview, or so I think, and Satya is a great animal rights magazine that should get more recognition.

OK well Happy Hanukah everyone, and Happy New Year if I don't get to update before then. But these painkillers are making me quite verbose, so who kows?

You will have to let us know how that cruise goes, because maybe others like me are thinking about taking the same cruise one of these years! I saw that you were on board from the schedule. Seems like a great cruise! Bon Voyage!
