I hate to have to tell you this but there is a proposal in Wisconsin to allow cat hunting. ^[1]

 The cat proposal, simply put, would reclassify free roaming, domestic feral cats as an “unprotected species” that could then be shot by anyone with a license to hunt small game. The rationale is that wild cats prey on songbirds in disproportionate numbers.

I feel like this is the sort of thing that can really mold people into animal rights sympathizers, I mean who could possibly condone hunting cats? Oh yeah, Wisconsin. No but, if people can see that hideousness of hunting cats then maybe they can take the next logical step to seeing the atrocity of hunting other animals. Maybe.
