Today was one of those days where I didn?t think I could move never mind cook but I managed to get a couple of recipes done. Tomorrow the photographer is coming to take photos (that?s what photographers do you know) and I am completely unprepared.

My cats caught a mouse and I just pretended it wasn?t happening and there wasn?t a dead mouse. I convinced myself it was a piece of swiss chard and hoped they would drag in under the couch and it could be forgotten and I bring this up because that is how I feel about most aspects of my life. For instance, the reason I was able to convince myself that a dead mouse was a piece of swiss chard is because my glasses are broken and have been for 2 months and I haven?t gotten new ones. I am planning on picking them off the glasses growing tree or something.

Also, I am hoping that if I don?t do my work I will get fired. Rather than get a new job I?m just waiting this one out but it?s not working because it?s been four years and they show no sign of caring about my sub par work or my absence for that matter. I have all but stuck a stuffed monkey in my cubicle facing the computer screen. Wait. I actually have done that. Seriously, there is a stuffed monkey in my cubicle sitting in my seat facing the computer. Yet the paychecks keep rolling in.

So yeah, this photographer is coming tomorrow to take shots for the book and I have no idea what will happen. I guess he?ll get here then I?ll figure it out, or get another stuffed monkey.
