An Amputated Leg In a BBQ Smoker

I don’t know, it just kind of makes you think. We have legs. Cows have legs. No one wants their legs in a BBQ smoker.

And because everything here is gross, here’s a pretty picture of amaranth that I took at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens.

I didn’t have the cojones to click on that first link… but I too hope that the closing of that meat processing plant will mean a little less… meat processing going on in the world. Am I too optimistic?
Oh, and so THAT’s what amaranth looks like in its natural state? Kewl.

The thing about the amputated leg?I didn’t read the story just now but I read it before?was that the guy wanted to make sure he could be buried with his leg so he could be buried with his leg.

I decided a looong time ago I’m going to be cremated?if I ever die?and this story only strengthens the case. How crazy is it that the guy who bought the leg was charging money to see it?

Regarding the mystery meat: I wonder what a slice of Tofurky looks like when you magnify it a zillion times?

He’s lucky to be getting the leg returned to him.

After reading the link labels for all that gory stuff, I thought for a moment that the amaranth was some kind of Dr.Who monster! It renders very meaty-colored on my monitor. (Shudder!)

In the correct context, it is indeed, quite lovely. Actually, beautiful is a better term.
