I’m Up For Auction

by IsaChandra

Farm Sanctuary’s online auction is a go. And yeah, they have other awesome stuff, like a visit to Sarah Silverman’s set, but really, aren’t I just kind of a chubby vegan Sarah Silverman who cooks for you? Does Sarah Silverman cook for you?!

So go bid on me. Although I will totally understand if I get outbid by Pee Wee Herman. Anything to make this little guy quit torturing us with cuteness.

I love that you have a shipping/handling section on there (too bad they won’t post you to Australia! It’d be nice to have someone cook something vegan for me for a change instead of having an omni man who refuses to!)

Seriously, too bad we can’t get you across the border, I’d be bidding fo sure!

  • December 5, 2007 at 10:03 pm: Amy

Well I can’t afford you, but good luck! And holy crap that picture is cute.

Also, I cannot believe one of the items being auctioned is “A Painting for Corey Feldman by Corey Haim”. Ha!

You’ve already cooked at my house for me. Is it okay if I bid on something else?

  • December 5, 2007 at 10:41 pm: bazu

For me, it’s between you and the Corey’s, Isa! You already have more bids than a lot of the lots in that auction- good luck!

  • December 5, 2007 at 10:42 pm: Marcy

I really want to bid on you, but I live in MI. I wish I knew someone whose house you could come cook at and then I could fly in. Hmmm…

  • December 5, 2007 at 10:49 pm: IsaChandra

I think I’m gonna bid on the Coreys.

  • December 5, 2007 at 10:57 pm: BlindTurtle

What if the Coreys bid on you and you both win?

  • December 5, 2007 at 11:19 pm: vwam

I thought it was a picture OF corey feldman by corey haim. Damn.

If I succeed in folding these United States so the San Francisco Bay touches New York City, you better believe I’ll bid!

That is so awesome. Too bad I’m broke and live in UPstate New York. I think it’s great that your doing it, though. I sometimes feel that I’m too passive in my vegan-ness. I need to get off my pasta-widened butt and do something for the animals.

Bless your veganess heart. Your cooking fingers must be cooked crooked by now. But after cooking for 300+ people, what’s dinner for 4?
Can we combine the auctions? and get you to cook for Sarah Silverman?
Anything for the rescued FAS animals.

Oh baby, I want to bid on you!

  • December 6, 2007 at 8:38 am: Harmony

can anyone visit the farm sanctuary? it looks like a very cute place.

  • December 6, 2007 at 10:24 am: SeitanSaidDance

Wow, I wish I wasn’t so broke. Several of those lots are really tempting (including yours, of course!). But I doubt you need to worry about being outdone by Sarah Silverman.

  • December 6, 2007 at 10:54 am: ijdi

luch with ebj! tour of solar powered home!

  • December 6, 2007 at 11:15 am: Deb Schiff

You are so much cooler than Sarah Silverman.

  • December 6, 2007 at 1:12 pm: Heather

“Home must be in New York City.” This part is very sad, on all levels. Not that I could afford you, anyway. But still!

  • December 6, 2007 at 9:30 pm: Joe

Well, I’m the high bidder so far. I impulsively bidded without reading the description stating your home must be in NYC. I guess I might need to find some cool vegans in New York if I win, but I’m sure I’ll be outbid.

  • December 6, 2007 at 11:29 pm: Paula

But who is going to clean up!?

  • December 7, 2007 at 1:58 am: IsaChandra

Thanks, Joe! And Pauler, good point. Want to clean up?

  • December 7, 2007 at 2:14 am: pdx-nummers

I would seriously bid on this if I lived in NYC (I’m in Portland, OR)

  • December 7, 2007 at 11:21 am: Allie (Verdura)

Ok, I live in NJ so I can’t bid. BUT, what if I make desssert?! :)

  • December 7, 2007 at 11:26 am: esme

you cook for me for free when we get together, so i’m going to skip this one. thanks for the offer though!

  • December 7, 2007 at 12:59 pm: Vegan Dad

I think the harmonic signed by Alanis Morisette takes the (vegan) cake. I can’t help but laugh every time I hear her “playing” the harmonica on Jagged Little Pill.

Good luck, Isa. Let’s hope you embark on an international tour of vegan goodwill sometime soon.

  • December 8, 2007 at 5:00 am: Lisa

If I paid your flight to Australia can I bid too?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

  • December 14, 2007 at 12:14 pm: Monkbuck

You should be really happy that you’ve gotten so many bids – Alanis Morissette didn’t get any!

  • December 15, 2007 at 8:41 am: Kimberly

Oh I want to bid! It would totally awesome but I’m broke and live in Sweden *goes off to cry bitterly in a corner*
