54) M.A.K.E., Santa Monica

I need an excuse to visit Santa Monica. Is wanting to dine at M.A.K.E. a good enough one? I always gasp at the beautiful dishes chef Scott Winegard posts. Well, maybe not literally gasp, but at least mentally. But let’s take the word of someone who has actually eaten there.

Kate Lawrence says “Their amazing kimchi dumplings — a burst of oh-my-God-how-do-they-do-that? and the tree nut cheese plate. especially the smoked cheese which invoked many John McEnroe they cannot be serious moments from me. Also the attached raw culinary school Matthew Kenney Cuisine is top-notch, a great experience to attend.”
