I'd like to add a new craft to my table (So far only pixel art and hats!) So I'm thinking of sewing clothes or more advanced jewellery making... There's so many things I want to do it's hard to choose the first one!

My craft goal is to actually write my patterns properly so I can sell them.

Also, I want to create even more knit items. I have so many ideas in my head I need to put down on paper and test them.

So much yarn, so many ideas; so little time.

Zelavie, that is such an awesome idea your friend had! Can people in Canada join this group :)?

KnitsByNat, I looked at your Etsy shop, it's fabulous! Loving the eggplant colored items.

My personal crafting goal this year is to get much better at jewelry making. I can do basic earrings for now, and somewhat successfully wire-wrapped rings. I have signed up for two classes, and bought way too many beads already, so I hope I follow through. I am most especially trying to find a way to incorporate "ethical" beads in the jewelry I make. So far, I have found Kazuri fair trade beads (http://www.kazuri.com/pc/) and beads from Big Village, which are also fair trade, plus made from recycled materials (http://bigvillage.ca/our-beads.html).

If you happen to know about other sources of "ethical" beads please let me know! Happy crafting!

I spent the last few months working on advancing my crochet skills, but I got a little burnt out on hooking so I'm taking a break. Now I'm working on sketching/drawing/color-penciling.

I want my craft goal for 2014 to be to complete my sewing loft. But being realistic, I'm gonna say my craft goal for 2014 is starting the renovation on my sewing loft.

A few of my little nephews (8 and 6) learned that I can knit (although it's only very basic knitting) and they have asked me for scarves (and because they did, so did their 3 year old sister). I couldn't get them done right away and not it's too hot for them, but I'm hoping they've forgotten so they can be surprised when I make them this summer and give them to them for when the weather cools down.

Hopefully, this will get me back into knitting and wanting to improve my skills.

Goal: Learn to crochet ANYTHING more advanced than a single chain.

Sounds simple, but I've put it off for years despite owning books, yarn, AND hooks.

truth. all the adorable things i've seen lately have been crocheted and i'm annoyed at myself for not being able to make them.

My recommendation would be to start with a scarf. Scarves often involve doing the same stitch over and over again which is a great way to practice, and when you're done you have something practical to use or gift. I taught myself to crochet using youtube videos and The Happy Hooker book.

eta: For patterns, I often make things from the Lion Brand website. Patterns are free, you just have to register. You can read reviews of the patterns, and reviewers sometimes post pictures of their results which is helpful.

My craft goal: finish something. Anything, doesn't matter what. I'm drowning in WIPs.

What a way to go! Do you have something close-to-finished?
