Kelly Peloza realized “I don’t hate nutmeg after trying some freshly grated.” She recommends a Microplane grater when you just need a few pinches. And Terry Hope Romero doesn’t stop at single spices, she goes all the way with homemade spice blends. “Garam masala, Jamaican curry powder, berbere, and more. The kitchen smells fantastic and it’s super fun to play with whole seed spices.”
