Stir-fry noodles with broccoli
Submitted by Ellen Ciance
prep time: 10 minutes | cooking time: 9 1/2 minutes | makes 2-3 servings, depending on how
One day, i was looking for somthing to make for dinner, and all I could find was a box of noodles. I find plain noodles rather dull, so I decided to throw everything in my oriental sauces store-cupboard into a pan, heat it up, and stir-fry it!
I wanted to add some vegetables, so I threw in the broccoli, too. It is crunchier if you use fresh broccoli, but it melts in your mouth if you use frozen broccoli.
Equipment:
Regular stir-fry pan
Pot for noodles
Colander
An appetite!

Ingredients
2 1/2 cups penne noodles
3/4 cups broccoli
1 tsp. sesame oil
2 tbsp. olive oil
5 tbsp. soy sauce, or more if you like
1 tbsp. hoisin sauce
2 tbsp. teryaki sauce
For extra flavor, add other similar Oriental sauces. This is the kind of thing that you can just dump things in.

Directions
Bring some water (descriptive, eh?) to a boil, and add the noodles. After approx. 7 minutes, drain the noodles in the colander.
Combine all other ingredients (except the broccoli) in the stir-fry pan, then heat over medium heat until small bubble begin to appear. Add the noodles, then the broccoli. Stir for about 2 minutes, depending on how smoky-ish flavored you would like your noodles.
Then eat them. Yes, right now. They are better hot than cold.
